Bhubaneswar, Mar 4: Today four Odia team members of Hockey India League (HIL) 2017 champion Kalinga Lancers were felicitated by the Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and were also presented with a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh each at a special function here. Sports Minister Sudam Marandi, Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, Sports department Secretary were also present at the function.
The four members being honoured are Dipsan Tirkey, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Anand Lakra and Amit Rohidas of Kalinga Lancers. The CM addressed the gathering saying that it’s a moment of pride for each and every one. The spectacular achievement of the team in the HIL 2017 will go a long way in encouraging youngsters of the State. He wishes all the luck and success to the champions in the coming days.
Besides, Women Rugby players of Odisha were also felicitated in the function.
