Odisha: Landfall process of Severe Cyclone FANI begins

Bhubaneswar: May 3: Cyclonic storm FANI is about to make its landfall soon. It has started its process at Puri and Puri recorded a wind speed of 175 kmph now.

Heavy Rainfall begins almost all parts of Odisha.

Part of eye of the cyclonic storm was over land at 8.30 am. It is likely to complete the process in the next 2 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The cyclone is expected to make landfall anytime soon, said Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi.

It is most likely to cross Odisha coast between Gopalpur and Chandbali, close to Puri during 8 am to 11 am, said IMD.
