Bhubaneswar: September 02: BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the membership campaign at party headquarters here.
While inaugurating the drive, Naveen became the first member the party along with 24 other primary members.
Naveen Patnaik conveyed his best wishes on the occasion of auspicious Ganesh Puja to the party men present there in the inauguration ceremony. He also expressed his happiness as he inaugurated the campaign on the day of Ganesh Puja.
Addressing the gathering, he said, ‘Biju Janata Dal is the party of the people of Odisha and 4.5 crore people of Odisha are its family members. It has been getting blessings from each town, each village and each house. Through this membership drive, we shall meet them again and seek blessings. We shall meet our mothers, youth, farmers and commonmen and seek their blessings’. I am confident our membership campaign will be successful with the support of the people of Odisha’.
BJD has taken a target to add on 50 lakh more members to its party.
