Cuttack: June 27: Odisha Police arrested Mohammad Sakil and his two aides involved in various criminal cases in the twin cities and nearby areas. Police arrested the trio from Karempudi area of Guntur district in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. While arresting, Police recovered a 7.65 caliber gun and two rounds of live bullets from their possession. As briefed by Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora, ‘Odisha Police had constituted a special team to arrest Sakil and his aides, which raided suspected hideouts of the dreaded criminals. The special team had been to states like Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh, but to nab him and at last, the trio got arrested in Guntur area of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh’. Sakil has involvement in various terror activities like bomb hurling at the house of Mohammad Sajaan, the head of Kesharpur Sahi on March 24, firing at Sheikh Jalil at Manisahu Chhak near Cantonment Road two days later followed by firing at police at Hadiapatha area.
