Bhubaneswar: August 09: Odisha recorded less than 1000 cases in last 24 hours. As per the information provided by I & PR Department, 886 new Covid Positive Cases were found in Odisha in last 24 hours. Of this, 512 people were in quarantine and rest 374 cases are from local contacts.
1463 patients got recovered from the disease in last 24 hours.
Active cases number goes below 12,000 and it is now 11,486.
66,033 samples have been tested in last 24 hours and of that, 886 cases were found positive. Daily Positivity Rate declines further to 1.34 percent.
Total cases (from the beginning of Pandemic) increased to 9,87,956 and out of that, 9,69,916 cases have already recovered from the infection.
Health Department informed regarding 66 new deaths, which are not of a particular day. Rather, it gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
Total death toll in the State rose to 6501.
