Bhubaneswar: September 26: Odisha reported another big spike of coronavirus infected cases (4,356) in last 24 hours and with this, total cases in Odisha increased to 2,05,452. Out of 4,356 new cases, 2,529 people were in quarantine and rest 1,827 cases are from local contacts.
Khurda District has been continuously registering highest cases and today, it has reported 902 new cases. Cuttack District has recorded 409 new cases, followed by Angul 197 cases, Balasore 194 cases, Nuapada 173 cases, Jagatsinghpur 171 cases, Puri 168 cases, Mayurbhanj 153 cases, Jajpur 136 cases, Bhadrak 124 cases, Rayagada 121 cases, Jharsuguda 120 cases, Kendrapara 119 cases, Bargarh 106 cases, Sundergarh 101 cases, Kandhamal 91 cases, Dhenkanal 84 cases, Koraput 82 cases, Sambalpur 81 cases, Bolangir 76 cases, Kalahandi 71 cases, Ganjam 62 cases, Nabarangpur 58 cases, Keonjhar 55 cases, Nayagarh 51 cases, Boudh 49 cases, Malkangiri 28 cases, Gajapati 20 cases, Sonepur & Deogarh 14 cases each and 326 cases from State Pool.
As per Health & Family Welfare Department’s data, so far 1,65,432 patients have recovered from the disease and at present, 39,184 active cases are there in the State.
In last 24 hours, 16 persons succumbed to the disease and with this, total death toll in the State rose to 783.
