Bhubaneswar: May 04: Odisha reported 8216 new COVID Positive Cases in last 24 hours. Of this, 4684 people were in quarantine and rest 3532 cases are from local contacts.
Khurda District registered 1271 new cases, followed by Sundergarh 636, Cuttack 447, Puri 402, Angul 394, Sambalpur 385, Bargarh 375 cases, Jajpur 347 cases, Nawarangpur 319 cases, Jharsuguda 316 cases, Bolangir 305 cases, Balasore 302 cases, Nuapada 261 cases, Nayagarh 250 cases, Sonepur 248 cases, Kalahandi 238 cases, Rayagada 232 cases, Mayurbhanj 190 cases, Koraput 133 cases, Keonjhar 129 cases, Gajapati 121 cases, Jagatsinghpur 106 cases, Boudh & Deogarh 98 cases each, Kendrapara 87 cases, Kandhamal 77 cases, Ganjam 69 cases, Bhadrak 63 cases, Dhenkanal 47 cases, Malkangiri 32 cases and 238 cases from State Pool.
With this, total cases in Odisha increased to 4,79,752 and out of that, 4,04,063 cases have already recovered. At present, 73,548 active cases are there in State.
In last 24 hours, 6488 people have recovered from the infection.
