Bhubaneswar: September 16: Odisha reported 4,270 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, pushing the State’s total to 1,62,920.
Out of 4,270 new cases, 2,478 people were in quarantine and rest 1,792 are local contact cases.
Khurda District has recorded highest cases in last 24 hours (876), followed by Cuttack 374 cases, Puri 287 cases, Jagatsinghpur 188 cases, Bargarh 183 cases, Jajpur 162 cases, Balasore 150 cases, Angul 147 cases, Mayurbhanj 131 cases, Jharsuguda 121 cases, Nuapada 119 cases, Sambalpur 114 cases, Kendrapara 99 cases,Bolangir 97 cases, Keonjhar 87 cases,Nabarangpur 86 cases, Koraput 83 cases, Rayagada 80 cases, Sonepur 74 cases, Kandhamal 73 cases, Ganjam 68 cases, Malkangiri 64 cases, Dhenkanal 63 cases, Gajapati 58 cases, Bhadrak 55 cases, Nayagarh 47 cases, Kalahandi 44 cases, Sundergarh 38 cases, Boudh 22 cases, Deogarh 18 cases and 262 cases from the State Pool.
As per H & FW Department’s information, 11 persons succumbed to the disease in last 24 hours and with this, total death toll in the State increased to 656.
So far, 1,25,738 patients have recovered from the infection and at present, 36,473 patients are under treatment.
