Bhubaneswar: April 30: Odisha Government will stop inoculation programme on Saturday & Sunday across the State due to lock-down, informed Dr.Vijay Panigrahi, Director, Family Welfare.
Sources said, State is facing acute shortage of Covishield Vaccine and for which people are waiting since a week for their second dose.
The state requires at least 6.3 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine for the beneficiaries who are waiting for the next dose. Whereas it has only 1.1 lakh doses of Covishield. However, there are 3,34,500 Covaxin doses available with the state.
The third phase of COVID Vaccination Programme to be started from May 01, depends on the availability of Vaccine. More than 3.94 lakhs people within the age group of 18-44 years from the State have already registered themselves online for the vaccine.
