Odisha Start-up founder selected for training in Cambridge University

Bhubaneswar: June 29: Dr. Sumona Karjee Mishra, co-founder of leading start-up Prantae Solutions Private Ltd and Pride of Odisha- 2018, left for New Delhi on Friday to attend a week long training programme for aspiring entrepreneurs and corporate innovators to try and prepare business ideas for the commercial environment at Cambridge University in London from June 30. She is among five women entrepreneurs across the country selected for the BIRAC-IGNITE-2019 fellowship.

She is the wife of entrepreneur and co-founder of Prantae Solutions Dr Aseem Mishra and daughter in law of senior journalist Ajoy Misra. Under this fellowship she will be sponsored for the course fees, travel, accommodation etc. approximately 6000 Pounds at Cambridge University, London. Notably, ‘Ignite’ is an intensive, one-week training programme. This year the program is scheduled at Judge Business School (JBS), University of Cambridge UK. About 56 delegates coming from 8 countries are attending the course.

The programme is running for the last 20 years, Ignite has an impressive track record of both inspiring successful new business ventures and bolstering internal business development. Over 747 participants from 26 countries across Europe, Asia and America have attended Ignite since the program started.Ignite attracts a diverse range of projects that can be broadly categorized as relating to the life sciences and high tech sectors.

The course is comprised of a blend of practical teaching sessions, expert clinics, mentor sessions and experienced advice and support from leading entrepreneurs and innovators. It provides the tools, contacts and confidence to transform your idea into a successful business project or venture.
