Odisha to Witness Rainfall in Next 5 Days

Bhubaneswar: People of Odisha are all set to get some respite from the ongoing intense cold wave conditions as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rain for the state for the next five days. As predicted by the IMD, the minimum temperature is likely to rise by 3-5 degrees Celsius during the next three days.

Light rain or thundershowers is expected to occur at one or two places of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput district while dry weather is likely to prevail over the other districts of the State today i.e on December 18.

The weatherman also predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi on December 19.

Likewise, thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, and Deogarh districts on December 20.

Similar weather condition is expected to be witnessed on December 21 and December 22, following which the temperature might drop again and the cold wave condition may return back.
