Odisha Tourism road show at varanasi to woo tourists

Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: In a bid to promote Odisha Tourism and attract more tourists from Varanasi, Odisha Tourism organised a road show in Varanasi on Wednesday. 

The main objective of the road show was to give a boost to tourist traffic from Varanasi to Odisha in view of the recent introduction of Air India connectivity between the two cities of Varanasi and Bhubaneswar. 

Tourism & Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda addressing a press conference emphasized on boosting the cultural link between the two States. 

Elaborating the tourism products of the State, Panda appealed to the media to give maximum coverage about Odisha. 

As huge number of Buddhist tourists are visiting Varanasi, Sarnath and other destinations, the Minister urged the tour operator to highlight the Buddhist Circuit of Odisha. 

He also requested the tour operators and travel agents to include Odisha (Ratnagiri-Lalitgiri-Udayagiri -Langudi- Dhauli-Puri-Bhubaneswar, etc) in their travel plan and itinerary. 

Assistant Director SK Patnaik and Dr RK Pattanayak made presentations on Odisha and Buddhism in State. 

About 70 tour operators along with academicians from BHU attended in the road show.They had a glimpse of the Chhou dance of Odisha performed on this occasion.
