Odisha’s biz potential to be showcased at Investors’ Meet in Mumbai

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with Industries and  School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and senior officials will showcase the plethora of investment opportunities available in  the State at the Odisha Investors’ Meet to be held in Mumbai on February 14, 2016 as part of ‘Make in India’ Week.

According to official sources, in the morning of February 14, the Chief Minister will hold one-to-one meetings with investors and foreign delegations from Japan, China and other countries. The main objective of the Investors’ Meet is to project the business eco-system in the State and highlight the reforms undertaken by Odisha to enable ‘Ease of Doing Business’ for domestic and international investors.

During the Meet, the State will unveil the Industrial Development Plan: Vision 20205. The State will also launch the investment related integrated services on the e-Biz portal and the Central Inspection Framework online portal, the first of its kind synchronized single inspection framework in India.

The event will be followed by a panel discussion with the industry stalwarts from Odisha on the investment opportunities available in the State.

According to a State government release, the new IPR-2015 provides a variety of sops like concessional land, VAT reimbursement, electricity duty, exemption etc to attract mega investment in the State.

In case of doing business ranking evaluated by World Bank complied by DIPP. Odisha had received seventh rank and has been branded as one of the aspiring leaders by DIPP.
