Odisha’s COVID-19 tally crosses 50,000-mark; 1872 new cases in last 24 hours

Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: August 12: Odisha’s Coronavirus tally crossed 50,000-mark on Wednesday with detection of 1876 new cases in last 24 hours. Of this, 1182 cases were in Quarantine and 694 are Local Contact Cases.

In last 24 hours, Khurda has recorded 297 cases, followed by Ganjam 260 cases, Sundergarh 119 cases, Cuttack 109 cases, Nayagarh 105 cases, Rayagada 98 cases, Balasore 81 cases, Puri 80 cases, Koraput 77 cases, Gajapati 71 cases, Mayurbhanj 70 cases, Kendrapara 58 cases, Jajpur 53 cases, Bhadrak 50 cases, Kalahandi 41 cases, Sambalpur & Dhenkanal 36 cases each, Bolangir cases, Kandhamal & Nawarangpur 30 cases each, Jagatsinghpur 26 cases, Malkangiri 24 cases, Sonepur 22 cases, Keonjhar 21 cases, Angul & Bargarh 15 cases each, Boudh 10 cases, Jharsuguda 6 cases, Nuapada 3 cases and Deogarh 2 cases.

With this, total cases in the State increased to 50,672. So far, 34,806 patients have recovered from the disease.

In last 24 hours, 9 persons succumbed to the disease, pushing the death toll to 305.

At Present, 15,508 active cases are there in the State.
