New Delhi, Jan 21: The next Police Commissioner of New Delhi is likely to be an Odia IPS officer, Amulya Patnaik who is currently the special commissioner of New Delhi. Patnaik is a UP-cadre IPS. Senior IPS officers, Deepak Mishra and Dharmendra Kumar are also in the race to be chosen as the commissioner of the national capital. Few days ago, Alok Verma has been appointed as the CBI chief leaving the commissioner’s post vacant.
