India Records 20 K New Covid-19 Cases And 673 Deaths

On Sunday, 7 more new Omicron Cases were found in Maharashtra. A new variant of corona has been confirmed in the genome sequencing of samples of 7 people found corona positive in Pimpri Chinchwad district. All these have been quarantined.

Earlier on Sunday morning, the first case of Omicron was detected in Delhi. Now there are a total of 12 cases of the new variant in the country, out of which 8 have been found in Maharashtra alone. Earlier in Maharashtra, a man of 33 years old was found infected with omicron.

According to the Maharashtra Health Department, out of 7 people infected with Omicron in Pimpri chinchwad, 4 had just returned from abroad.

After this, 3 others who came in contact with him were also tested. All three were also found to be corona positive. The samples of all these were sent for genome sequencing, the report of which came on Sunday. In this report, all of them have been told to be infected with the Omicron variant.
Earlier, one case of Omicron was found at Delhi. Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that, the infected had come from Tanzania. After investigation at the airport, it was reported that he was infected with Omicron. He has been admitted to LNJP Hospital in Delhi.
