OMSA threatens to go on cease work stir on Nov 4

Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: A threat to go on a cease work stir and stage dharna in front of the Directorate of Health on November 4 has been given by the doctors working in government hospitals in Odisha if the government fails to fulfill their 11-point charter of demands.

The 11-point charter demand by the Odisha Medical Service Association (OMSA) includes promotion in time, 4th pay plan for the doctors having 20 years completion of services, permanent appointment and grace mark provision in the OPSC examination for those doctors who have been working on ad hoc basis and security personnel at every district headquarters hospital for safety of on duty doctors.

As per the general secretary of OMSA, if the government will not take the demands into consideration, the doctors will resign en masse and continue cease work stir.
