Malkangiri, Oct 26: The vector-borne disease Japanese Encephalitis has taken the life of one more child identified as Sania Raba (2) from Kurusibeda on Wednesday at the District Headquarters Hospital taking the death toll to 69 in 48 days in Malkangiri.
Few days back, after reviewing the situation in the district, a six member central team had informed that the condition is under control. However, even though various preventive measures had been taken by the health department, the death toll has been increasing due to the disease.
