Bhubaneswar, Mar 31: With specialists in Cardiology being appointed at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar in Odisha, open heart surgery can now be performed at the premier healthcare institute.
According to sources, the governing body of AIIMS Bhubaneswar has appointed 85 doctors for 32 departments including Cardiology and CTVS departments. Besides, the Nuclear Medicine Department would be made open to the public at the hospital.
Doctors have been recruited for 32 departments while in 10 newly opened departments recruitment has also been completed. Notably, Cardiac and CTVS departments, Urology, Kidney and Stomach, Surgical Oncology, Neonatalogy, Peadiatric surgery, Medical Oncology and Hospital administration departments would also be opened for the public.
The Neurology department would also be re-opened. After the opening of new departments, many severe diseases can now be treated. Not only this, the departments can be made stronger.
As per reports, maximum number of doctors has been appointed in the Anaesthesia department. President of Recruitment Cell Dillp Kumar Parida said the new recruitment would definitely provide the necessary impetus to the worsening health care scenario of the State.
