Cuttack, Dec 9: The Orissa High Court on Friday has granted a conditional bail to the ex-president of the Youth Congress of the state Rajat Choudhury, accused in the Artha Tatwa Group chit fund scam.
Bail was granted on against a deposit of Rs 1.5 crore and furnishings of two bail bonds of Rs 1 lakh.
Earlier, on 4th of July this year, the CBI for his alleged links with the scam arrested Choudhury. He came under the CBI scanner early in 2014 for a land deal of Rs 94 lakh between the group and another person, where Choudhury acted as a mediator in the transaction.
