Over 200 Omicron Cases In India
India has recorded over 200 Omicron cases so far. Out of which, 77 patients have recovered or migrated, informed Health Ministry. Maharashtra & Delhi, have registered 54 cases each while Telangana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Kerala & Gujarat reported 20, 19,18,15 & 14 cases respectively.
Uttar Pradesh reported 2 cases, followed by Andhra Pradesh (1), Chandigarh (1), Tamilnadu (1), West Bengal (1) and Odisha (2).
Also, 5,326 new Covid-19 cases were reported in India during the last 24 hours. This is lowest in 581 days, said Health Ministry.
The recovery of 8,043 Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,41,95,060.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.40%,highest since March 2020.
India’s Active Caseload presently at 79,097 is lowest in 574 days. Active cases constitute 0.23% of the country’s total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020.
During last 24 hours, 453 Covid-19 patients succumbed to the disease. Total death toll increased to 4,78, 007.
