Bhubaneswar, Sept 10: On Friday, simultaneous raids were conducted by the vigilance sleuths on the houses and office of Janakinath Mishra, Paikamal Tehsildar in a case of disproportionate assets (DA).
As per sources, the office and rented house at Paikamal, government quarter at unit-II in Bhubaneswar, and paternal house at Barchana in Jajpur district were raided by the vigilance officials.
The sleuths have found movable and immovable properties worth Rs 1.41 crore registered in the name of Mishra. Bank deposits of around Rs 86 lakh were found and Rs 2.5 lakh cash was seized from his government quarter, sources informed. Also, 110 grams of gold ornaments and 220 grams of silver have been seized.
As per information, an apartment with an estimated market value of Rs. 35 lakh is owned by Mishra in Khandagiri area.
