Paradip, Jan 4: Nearly 600 participants, including 45 women, from across the state today participated in the Paradip Marathon 2016 as part of the Port Foundation Day celebration.
Port Trust Chairman Rinkesh Roy flagged off the marathon from Nehru Bunglow area.
PPT Vice Chairman N Vayapuri, Chief Financial Advisor and President of Gopabandhu Sports Association SK Sahoo and Secretary Paradip Sport Council Rabi Das were present on the occasion.
The marathon culminated at Gopabandhu stadium 12 km away from Nehru Bunglow.
