Parthiv Replace saha in third test

Mohali, Nov 23: Parthiv Patel to play his first test match in 8 years after being called up from the squad as Indian wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha will rest for the third test opening this Saturday in regards for a thigh injury picked during the recent match at Visakhapatnam. India’s most favored wicketkeeper since Dhoni’s retirement from test cricket was Parthiv, and finally he will replace Saha in the third test with England, at Mohali.

Parthiv played his last test in 2008 against Srilanka as a second replacement. After being dropped from the test squad, he has been a consistent scorer in domestic cricket scoring over 800 in 2008-09 and 2009-10, backed by 946 in 2012-13 and around 600 in 2013-14.

Parthiv has shown a great effort in the ongoing Ranji trophy scoring 415 in 8 innings getting an average of 59.28, in addition to 16 catches and one stumping.
