Passenger train hits goods train near Cuttack Railway station of Odisha; several passengers injured:

Cuttack: September 29: Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak DMU train hit a stationary goods train near Cuttack Railway Station today evening at around 6.30 pm, which causes derailment of seven bogies. Several passengers were injured and one died. Seventeen critically injured passengers have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, trains on the route were halted at various places. Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora, Sub Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra, DRM(Khurda) and Railway Chief Safety Officer have also reached the accident site. Several persons have been trapped and administration is trying to rescue those persons.
