Anandpur, Sept 17: Around 50 person of Santoshpur village have been found infected with stomach ailments and symptoms like nausea, vomiting and dysentery with the actual reason behind this disease yet to be found.
Affected by this mysterious disease, Suhagi Nayak, an aged woman had died on Thursday.
Till now around 14 cases have been reported from Anandpur Hospital with the admit of 6 new patients today.
After the incident, a doctor team from Fakirpur Community Health Centre has arrived at the spot.
It is suspected that reason behind the stomach ailments is food poisoning. Atleast 50 persons in the Ananpur block have been found affected with the stomach ailment while 14 of them are under treatment at various hospitals, informed Medicine Specialist of Anandpur Hospital, Dr Pramod Kumar Behera.
