People outside India show interest to connect to their schools through ‘Mo School Programme’

Bhubaneswar: May 16: ‘MO SCHOOL’ Programme, launched by Odisha government is going to reach its height. It has generated tremendous enthusiasm across world to connect with their schools, said Dr.Susmita Mohanty, Chairpaerson, Mo School Programme. Not only the people of Odisha and outside the state, but also people staying at Australia, America and countries from Europe have shown interest to be part and parcel of the programme. This spirit of volunteerism will transform schools and foster excellence among our Children. Chairperson Dr.Mohanty discussed with Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik regarding the plans and programmes initiated for Mo School Programme.

 

Launching the Programme, Odisha Chief Minister said, ‘Each one of us has got an emotional attachment to the school. In some way or other we want to be connected to our school. Small or big, we want to contribute to the development of our school. In this context, I announce MO SCHOOL campaign’.

Further, he also said that: “I commit that whatever is contributed in terms of funds for developing our schools, the state will contribute double the amount.” Best three school of every block will get a cash award of rupees one lakh each, which will be distributed among the teachers.
