Baripada, Apr 1: Yesterday night it has been alleged that a physically challenged minor girl was raped by her neighbour in Deulasahi here. The incident happened at 9 pm when the 11-year old had gone to the Jagannath temple. It was then that a youth of class 5 named Munu, raped the 11-year old girl at the Snana mandap after he saw her alone in the temple. Later, few locals rescued the girl from the temple and rushed her to the nearest hospital. The victim’s father said that he was at a shop when he came to know about the incident. The locals thrashed the youth for committing the heinous crime. The cops have detained the accused and he would be taken for a medical check today. The victim is in a critical condition due to excess amount of blood flow, said sources.
