Plus 2 admission form fill up starts today

Bhubaneswar: The process of the Odisha Plus 2 admissions will begin from Saturday that is May 24, informed the Higher Education Department of Odisha.

The application for registration for +2 in Odisha under CHSE will start from May 24 and will continue till June 30. Students can apply through the SAMS portal. The first merit list will be released on July 7. Admission will be held from July 8 to July 14. Odisha Plus 2 admission shall end by July 14, classes will start from July 24.

The results of the Class 10 examination were recently published. The overall pass rate for HSC was 82.77 percent. The pass percent of girls was much higher than that of boys. The pass rate of girls is 87.24 percent. The matriculation examination results were published on May 2 this year. The pass rate was 94.93 percent. The pass rate of girls was higher than that of boys. The pass rate of boys was 94 percent while the pass rate of girls was 96 percent.

Eligibility:

Applicants must have passed the High School Certificate (HSC) examination from the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha or its equivalent boards.

Procedure:

  • Applicants shall apply online by registering themselves on the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha .govt.in).
  • The applicants are advised to read the Common Prospectus (CP) carefully filling the online Common Application Form (CAF).
  • Applicants must retain the print-out of application form ad payment receipt after successful submission of the CAF for future reference.
  • The Common Application Form fee must be paid through online mode.
  • All relevant documents are to be verified at the selected Higher Secondary School at the time of admission only.
  • Application fee for general category is Rs 200, for ST & SC category is Rs 100.
