New Delhi: April 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been to Rajya Sabha today to attend the Rajya Sabha Proceedings.
He reached few minutes before house proceedings and was seen discussing with leaders of various opposition parties like Congress leaders AK Antony, Anand Sharma and Pramod Tiwari; BSP leaders Mayawati and Satish Mishra; Left leaders Sitaram Yechury and TK Rangarajan. He shook hands with Dilip Kumar Tikey of BJD and greeted Sukhendu Sekhar Roy of TMC.
As the House proceedings began, the Prime Minister sat at his designated seat next to the Leader of the House and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. He was in the House when five new members including Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Swapan Dasgupta and Subramanian Swamy took oath.
After taking oath, new members greeted him with folded hands and PM acknowledged their greetings..
Boxer MC Mary Kom and Narendra Jadhav also took oath.
