Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: Following some errors in the list, the final date of submission of the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) list under the Prime Minister Awas Yojona (PMAY) has been extended to August 20. A letter containing this information has been issued to all Collectors by the Housing and Urban Development Department.
The list will be verified by the district administration and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and those who are not eligible for BLC, would be eliminated.
The old data depicted that some persons who were not eligible for the beneficiaries, were also enlisted in the beneficiary list. It was also found that some applications of the respective beneficiaries were unavailable in the ULB office.
All ULBs have been directed to perform 100 percent field verification, cross check eligibility of the beneficiaries and to check document’s availability along with record and affidavits.
Before forwarding the field verification report to the State Urban Housing Mission office, the ULB has been advised to get it authenticated by concerned Municipal Commissioner/Executive Officer and countersigned by the concerned District Collector-cum-chairman, DUH.
