Bhubaneswar, Sept 12: On charges of allegedly kidnapping and molesting an Ollywood album actress in the city, Odisha police arrested three persons identified as Bikash Kumar Behera, Bankanidhi Sahu and Sisir Kumar Nayak on Saturday night.
Reportedly, the four occupants of an SUV followed the victim in the car when she was returning, after finishing her work in Patia late in the night with two of her colleagues on a two-wheeler and later kidnapped her.
Some motorists informed the PCR control room when they heard screams coming out from a stationary SUV on Baramunda flyover.
Along with five PCR vans, the Khandagiri police rushed to the spot and surrounded the SUV and rescued the girl. The police arrested three persons on charges of kidnapping and seized the vehicle. The police are on a lookout for one out of the four miscreants who had managed to escape from the spot.
Meanwhile, the police recorded the victim’s statement under 161 of CrPC.
