Bhubaneswar: July 26: An inspector stationed at the district police headquarters in Koraput reportedly shot himself in the head with his service revolver.
After the incident, he was taken to the Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital in Koraput, but his condition worsened, so he was later transferred to Vishakhapatnam.
Inspector Naren Biswal was attached to Naxal Cell at Police Headquarters. Sources said he had married just six months back.
The motive for his alleged suicide attempt is yet to be determined.
