Bhubaneswar, March 17: The Commissionerate police on Wednesday said it will issue arrest warrants against 15 persons suspected to be involved in the criminal activities of the Dhalsamant gangster brothers.
Police commissioner YB Khurania said arrest warrants will be issued soon against 15 persons who are believed to be looking after the arms smuggling business and tender affairs of Dhalasamanata brothers.
“We believe that these people must have more information about criminal activities of the gangster siblings. These people will be given one month’s time to depose. If they fail to do so, they would be declared absconders,” Khurania stated.
“If needed steps would be taken to attach properties of the people against whom the warrants will be issued,” Khurania added.
Meanwhile, another dreaded criminal Sangram Patra, considered to be an aide of Dhalasamant brothers, was arrested by Cuttack Sadar police on Wednesday.
Sources said that Patra has more than eight criminal cases pending against him.
With Patra’s arrest, Commissionerate police has so far arrested 20 associates of the duo.
Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora had said on Wednesday that of the 20 associates of Dhalasamant brothers, most are professional criminals.
