Bhawanipatna, Aug 30: Politics have happened to cross the limit of selfishness for the Congress just to demean the ruling BJD even if the common man is put through unnecessary pressure. Dana Majhi who had walked, carrying his spouse’s corpse on his shoulder, around 12 kms due to the non – availability of an ambulance, seemed to have become an object for the Congress just to pinpoint the Odisha Government on its failures regarding this pertaining issue.

Although, like all common people, this tired shattered soul wanted to stay back at home, he was pressurized by the Congress activists to join the party’s rally on Monday.  This 42-year old sad man despite of his reluctance had to forcibly join the “Padyatra” organized by the Congress yesterday, which started from his village, Melghar and ended here today morning. It’s stated that the Congress leader who had put Majhi through extreme force was none other than Bhakta Das.

On the contrary, the AICC secretary has rejected Majhi’s allegation put on the party.

It’s mere irony that the party which had strongly objected Majhi’s visit to the district administration officials just on the day of his wife’s funeral, was the same party which made the shattered soul walk for about 2-3 kms as a part of the padyatra, just because this time the party had to prove its power and put the ruling government through severe shame. Again, instead of extending any help to him to carry out the rituals of the remaining days, the party leaders prioritized to engage themselves in the padyatra.
