Paradip: Feb 13: PPT pensioners have vehemently opposed the proposal of handing over the Contributory Medical Scheme extended to them. Two years back this scheme was made for pensioners to opt for it by contributing lump sum amount once for all. Most of the pensioners have taken up the scheme but for the reasons unknown PPT has proposed to hand over the scheme to an Insurance Company. A meeting was held at the conference hall of Paradip Port Workers Union to discus on the proposal. The meeting was presided over by Er Harihar Das and other leaders participated in the discussion. It was unanimously opposed the proposal and decided to protest if PPT authority goes on the proposal.
