Bhubaneswar: Retired IPS officer and former Odisha DGP Prakash Mishra was on Monday appointed as advisor to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Mishra has been accorded the rank of Cabinet Minister.
“… Shri Prakash Mishra, IPS (Retd.) is appointed as Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister in the rank of Cabinet Minister,” reads a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department of the Odisha Government on Monday.
The State government also appointed former senior bureaucrat Madhusudan Padhi the State Election Commissioner.
