Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday will arrive for a five-day visit to Odisha to attend the Navy Day celebrations on Wednesday. She will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at 5:00pm today.
President Murmu will leave the President Bhawan at 2:30 pm and travel in a special flight of the Air Force from Palam airport for her five-day visit. She will directly head from the Biju Pattnaik International airport at 5:30 pm for the inauguration ceremony of Pt. Raghunath Murmu’s statue at Chandrasekhapur. After that she will retire for the day at Raj Bhavan here.
On Wednesday, she will leave for Puri Srimandir at 9:00 am from here. Thereafter she will go to grace the Diamond jubilee of Gopabandhu Ayurveda college, Puri as the Chief Guest.
She will have her lunch at Raj Bhavan at Puri at 12:00 pm and then attend the Navy Day celebrations as their Chief Guest. She will stay at Puri after the Navy Day celebrations.
President Murmu will return from Puri on Thursday at 9:35 am and reach Biju Pattnaik International Airport at Bhubaneswar. She will attend the 40th convocation ceremony of Odisha University of Agricultural and Technology (OUAT) here at 10:50 am. Thereafter she will inaugurate the Bhubaneswar-based Judicial Court Complex at 5:10Pm. She will return to Raj Bhawan after the inauguration ceremony around 6:30 Pm.
On the other hand, the Commissionerate Police has conducted a carcade rehearsal for President’s visit. The route in which she will travel has been declared as ‘no flying zone’.
For the tri-level security, three officers of DCP-rank, 15 additional DCP-rankers, 45 ACP-ranker officials, 200 Inspectors and sub-inspectors. Over 40 platoon forces including the traffic forces will be deployed for President’s visit. Keeping in view, President’s visit traffic restrictions at several places at different times have been issued.
