Puri, Mar 30: The nine-member probe team constituted to investigate the allegations of land grab of land allotted for Puri Swargadwar (Crematorium) concluded its first phase investigations. It will be submitting a report to the administration. The Puri Collector based on the investigation stated that steps have been strategized to reclaim the land. Yesterday the Puri collector Arvind Agarwal conducted an on-the-spot verification of the 5.66-acre land that has been allotted for Lord Jagannath given a nectar food (amrut manohi) status. The Collector also highlighted that there are so much of irregularities that every day new facts are coming out and so more time is needed for a thorough investigation. He further stated that there is a need of more time to complete 135 cases. Some information about some land transactions which are going to happen are to be included in the 2nd phase of our inquiry.
