Puri: November 20: The Queen of Britain has suggested to ‘Shree Jagannath Sena’ to take the matter relating to return of Kohinoor diamond with the government of United Kingdom. “I have been asked to write in response to your letter which you wrote on behalf of the members of Sri Jagannath Sena. I apologise for the delay in replying which is due to the amount of mail recently received. While your comments have been noted, I must explain that this is not a matter in which The Queen would intervene. As a constitutional Sovereign, Her Majesty acts on the advice of her Ministers and remains strictly non-political at all times. Therefore, any such appeal should be made directly to the United Kingdom Government, said a letter, written by Miss Jennie Vine, Deputy Correspondence Coordinator on behalf of the Queen of Britain to Sri Jagannath Sena yesterday’ Convener of Shree Jagannath Sena informed. He further said, ‘We shall apprise the Govt. of India about the matter and if necessary, will have direct talk with the UK Government.
