Rains may occur in some parts of Odisha; sigh of relief to people of Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 18: Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Odisha. Heat wave condition prevailed over some parts of Interior Odisha. Chief amount of rainfall occured in Rairangpur (dist Mayurbhanj). Maximum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were appreciably above normal over Interior Odisha and normal over Coastal Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 46.5C was recorded at Bolangir and Titlagarh and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.

Having a partly cloudy sky and rainfall likely to occur, Odisha is likely to experience a maximum and minimum temperature of 38 and 28 degree Celsius respectively on Friday.

The maximum and minimum relative humidity is to be 91% and 55% respectively.

On Friday, rains with thundersquall and hail storms to occur in Koraput, Malkangiri, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sambalpur and Sundergarh with wind speed being 50-60 kmph. Weather to be dry over rest of Odisha with a heat wave to blow.

On Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, rains with thundersquall and hail storms to occur Interior Odisha along with a wind speed to be 50-60 kmph and weather to be dry over rest of the state.

As per the weather forecasters, from May 21, there is no large change in maximum temperature.

For the farmers, rains with thundersquall and hail storms to occur in Koraput, Malkangiri, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sambalpur and Sundergarh with wind speed being 50-60 kmph. Weather to be dry over rest of Odisha with a heat wave to blow.
