Cuttack: Raja Chakra has been arrested in a fraud case of Rs. 150 crore. At least 42 of his vehicles have been seized. It was informed by ADGP CID-Crime Branch Vinaytosh Mishra in a press meet on Thursday.
As per reports, a case was registered in this matter under sections 406,409, 420, 467,468, 471 and 120 B of IPC on 7th February on the report of a villager rising near Gandhamardan mines in Keonjhar.
The complainant alleged large sale irregularity in the functioning of Gandhamardan Loading Agency and misappropriation of funds of the Cooperative, which has been created for the welfare of villagers affected by the mines.
Based on the report, a detailed investigation was done in which it was found that the loading agency had earned around Rs 185 crores from 2017-18 to March 24. T
The investigation also revealed that the President and Secretary, name ly Manas Barik and Utkal Das, with the help of some other local influential persons had defrauded huge sums.
