Bhubaneswar, Aug 23: Yesterday at a press conference, announcement for conducting a rally and dharna ahead of the Odisha Assembly on September 8 to fulfil the nine-point charter of demands which laid down demand of taking over all aided schools by the government, equal wage for equal work, benefits of Sarvasikshya and Madhyamik Sikshya Abhiyans, augmenting of infrastructure in schools and filling up of vacancies of teachers and employees, was made by the Block Grant Sikshyak O Karmachari Sangh.
It was also informed by the Sangh that if these demands would not be fulfilled then around 30,000 teachers and employees along with their family will avoid coming for the panchayat polls. Around 2608 newly aided teachers and employees and also 167 unaided high schools would be a part of the dharna.
