NAGPUR, OCT 4: Vidarbha earned three points for taking the first innings lead against Odisha in a Group A league match that ended in a draw in the Ranji Trophy at Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground here today.
Following on, Odisha scored 230 for six on day four of the match with Vidarbha bowler Akshay Wakhare taking five wickets. The visitors folded up for 274 in their first innings in reply to Vidarbha’s 467.
Resuming the day at 15 for no loss, Odisha went on to score 230 for the loss of six wickets before play was called off. Anurag Sarangi top scored for Odisha with 92 off 178 balls while Pratik Das remained not out on 39 (off 101 balls). Biplab Samantaray contributed 34 runs. Openers Girija Rout and Natraj Behera scored 29 and 24 respectively, thus helping the team draw the match and earn one point.
