Kendrapada, Nov 26: The Kendrapada police on Saturday morning detained a 32-year-old private tutor for allegedly trying to rape a 7th grade minor girl in the district.
Identified as Barada Prasana Barik of Pandia Village, the accused tutors a group of about 14 students. To cover her doubts, he asked the girls to stay back after class, and finding her alone attempted to rape but to victim screamed and managed to flee and informed her family.
However the family members, to protect the girl’s identity buried the issue for 2 days until today, and lodged a complaint at the Patkura PS.
Patkura police acted quick and detained the tutor, and the interrogations are on.
