Daily Covid-19 Cases are rapidly rising in Odisha. Today, it is 1897 cases. Yesterday, it was 1216 cases and day before yesterday, it was 680 cases. In fact, the month begins with 298 cases and only after 5/6 days, the daily number jumps to 1897.
Out of 1,897 fresh cases, 258 are under 0-18 years of age. Also, another statistic, is to be noted…i.e. 1106 of 1897 cases were in quarantine and found to be Covid Positive. Rest 791 are local contact cases.
Khurda District of Odisha reported 669 new cases, which is 35.26 percent of total cases. Among other districts, Sundergarh District reported 262 cases, Cuttack 148 cases, Sambalpur 125 cases, Balasore 100 cases, Jharsuguda 66 cases, Puri 54 cases, Mayurbhanj 40 cases, Ganjam 34 cases, Keonjhar 31 cases and Jajpur 30 cases.
138 persons recovered from the disease in last 24 hours.
Total tally (since the beginning of the pandemic) increased to 10,59,773. Of which, 10,45,514 cases have recovered from the disease.
Active Caseload is growing constantly. It is 5,739 today.
Only one death has been recorded in last 24 hours.
Yesterday, 72,370 tests have been conducted in Odisha and out of that, 1897 samples are found to be positive.
Daily Positivity Rate rose to 2.62 per cent.
