Puri: The Ratna Bhandar repair work will resume today after being stalled for four days. The renovation work was stalled keeping in view the crowd of devotees for Makar Sankranti.
Puri collector said that, “the repair work of Ratna Bhandar will resume today. The repair work of the wall will be done today. The stone will be changed and granite will be used in its place.”
The repair work began on December 17. However, due to many festivals, the work was stalled for the better darshan of devotees. For Makar Sankranti the repair work was stalled from January 12 to January 15. The work will be completed before March informed the Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.
The queue system of darshan will begun in the Srimandir from January 20. Ramps and barricades are being positioned for the queue system of darshan.
This time there will be no pilot or trial system and the system will be directly put in place, informed Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan. The queues will extend up to Market square. The devotees will be provided with water. Cooler and fans will also be arranged for the convenience of the devotees. Special provisions for specially abled and senior citizen have been done.
