Rayagada, Sept 12: The wash away of an under construction road at Burja in Koraput district has paralyzed the vehicular movement between Rayagada and Koraput on Monday. Continuous rain caused the demolition of the under construction access road.
Hundreds of commuters and tourists were affected due to the collapse of the road as vehicles carrying them stood on both sides of NH 326 because of unavailability of any diversion.
As per the allegation made by locals, the reason behind this incident is the poor quality construction work that damaged the road which has also caused many accidents in the area before.
