Bhubaneswar, April 5: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA from Barabati-Cuttack constituency Debashish Samantaray landed in a fresh soup on Tuesday after his brother’s wife Sikha Samantaray filed a mental harassment case against the legislator at the State Commission for Women (SCW).
In her complaint Sikha alleged that she is being tortured mentally by Samantaray. “He is not giving the required money needed for the treatment of my husband,” she said. “Besides, he also threatens me to leave the house. I and my son have a threat to life as Samantaray has links with many anti socials,” Sikha alleged. Meanwhile, the legislator has refused to comment on the matter.
