Bhubaneswar, Apr 15: Yesterday the BJD replaced some of its senior leaders with new ones to generate a new spirit in the party. It also made changes in various affiliated organisations.
The first being, Amaresh Patri was replaced by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare minister, Sanjay Das Burma as the Biju Yuva Janta Dal (BYJD). Next turn came of Chandbali MLA Byomkesh Roy who was replaced with Rana Pratap Patra for the President’s post of the Biju Chhatra Janta Dal (BCJD). Sanjit Mohanty and Sisir Parija have been appointed as the Working President and Secretary General of Biju Yuva Janta Dal (BYJD). Lastly, senior leaders and party MLAs such as Pranab Balabantray, Byomkesh Ray, Anubhab Pattnaik and Manas Madkami have become the advisors of BYJD.
The new office bearers’ list was announced by party spokesperson and senior leader Surya Narayan Patro at a press conference here.
